TASTING NOTES
Appearance :
The wine presents an intense golden hue with green reflections, displaying silvery nuances that attest to its youthful character, supported by this late vintage.
On the nose :
The nose offers a complex array of aromas, with exceptional freshness. It opens with distinct toasty notes, featuring hints of dried fruits like almond and ripe wheat, with pastry-like undertones. Intense citrus scents and zesty juicy fruits accentuate the wine’s freshness. These aromas harmoniously blend with spring flower fragrances and a more mineral and powdery dimension reminiscent of chalk, complemented by delicate smoky notes.
On the palate :
On the palate, the wine distinguishes itself with its straight and chiseled structure, once again supported by the wine’s crystalline freshness, in perfect harmony with the nose. The overall aromatic palette asserts itself with intensity and precision. Citrus aromas, in particular, find their extension in lively and fruity spicy fragrances, where peppery notes carry the wine’s length.WINE & FOOD PAIRINGS
The strong flavours of this vintage, combined with an intense freshness, offer numerous possibilities for food pairing that combine know-how and modern cooking:
• Parsnip royale, chestnut cream and chips, sorrel, diced pear
• Fresh oyster, cauliflower mousseline, buckwheat seeds
• Monsieur Mure’s turbot, champagne sauce, gomasio, and nori seaweed
PERFECT SERVE
Conservation and aging:
Keep your bottles in the dark, at a temperature between 10 and 12°C (54-X°F), and at a humidity level between 60% and 70%.
Glass:
How to serve Ruinart champagne? Choose a tulip glass with a wide enough opening to best express the aromatic complexity, or a white wine glass.
Perfect serve:
- Serve at a temperature between 8 and 10°C (50-54°F)
- Place the bottle in the refrigerator at least 4 hours before tasting (do not freeze) or in an ice bucket for at least 20 minutes with 2/3 water, 1/3 ice.
The chalk case can be placed in the refrigerator and in an ice bucket and helps to draw out the freshness of the bottle.
